Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. The app has no user accounts and no login. Your photos, camera frames, harvested colours, confections, scores, and progress are stored only on your device, inside the app's own private storage.

Camera

The app asks for camera access so that you can harvest colour from the world around you and create your masked sigil. When you grant it:

• Camera frames are processed live and entirely on your device, to find dominant colours and to track a face for the mask overlay.
• Frames are not uploaded, not recorded in the background, and not retained after processing unless you deliberately capture an image.
• Face tracking is used only to draw the mask on screen. It does not identify you, does not build a face profile, and nothing derived from it leaves the device.
• You can refuse or revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings. The rest of the app continues to work; only the camera features are unavailable.

Photos

You may optionally choose a picture from your photo library so the app can read its colours into flavour essences, and you may optionally save the cards and sigils you create back to your library.

• The app reads only the specific images you pick. It does not scan or index your library.
• Chosen images are analysed on the device and are not uploaded anywhere.
• Saving to your library happens only when you tap to save, and only with your permission.

What is stored on your device

To let you pick up where you left off, the app keeps the following locally:

• Your shelf of harvested essences and the colours behind them.
• Confections you have forged and the verdicts the Court gave them.
• Game progress, scores, streaks, and unlocked entries.
• Your settings and preferences, and images you explicitly captured inside the app.

This data is not tied to your name, email address, or any identifier we could trace back to you. We never see it.

What we do not do

• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking SDKs.
• No advertising, ad identifiers, or ad networks.
• No third-party trackers, and no data brokers.
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking, and no profiling.
• No selling or sharing of personal information, as those terms are used under the CCPA/CPRA and comparable laws.
• No collection of contacts, location, health data, microphone audio, or browsing history.

If you contact support

Support is optional and entirely at your initiative. If you write to us or use the support form, we receive the email address you supply, the reason you select, and the message you write. We use that information for one purpose only: to answer you. We do not add it to a mailing list, do not use it for marketing, and delete correspondence once the matter is closed and no longer needed for our records.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a support message — a short description of the problem is enough.

Children

The app is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because the app holds no personal data on our side, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or erase:

• Access and portability — the data is already on your device, in your hands.
• Deletion — clear the app's data from within it, or delete the app, and it is gone.
• Support correspondence — if you have written to us, you may ask us to delete that correspondence and we will.

Exercising any of these rights costs nothing and will never degrade your use of the app.

Security

App data is stored in the app's private container and is protected by the security of your device and its operating system, including the device passcode and file encryption. Keeping your device updated and locked is the most effective protection for the contents of the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
